Seems pretty bad :(

Could you try another ISP account just to confirm :)

What should I make of this? Internet has been performing badly on most ISPs since Monday. :(

Disable wifi and test with a lan cable, but looks like the start of exchange congestion if hop 2 is jumping, but could be wifi device accessing router maybe which is why I disable wifi so I know nothing else is running.

I would post my results but can't as the program crashes at the end when it's supposed to post the results, this is on Win 7 x64 Zertop.

I also had that crash, and then updated to latest version to sort it out after Zertop applied a fix. Sometimes I would find the test results int line tool directory.

I also always download the latest version when I test for that reason but that also crashed. I just tried the zip file version, that worked once but then crashed the second time, but at least I can see the results file in the extracted folder.

Doesn't look great at all :(

Could you possibly try with a different ISP's capped account, just to be sure?

Hey everyone. I have been having so many problems with my telkom ADSL line that I really am at my wits ends.
I have a 10mbps adsl line and live in Cape Town. When I do a speed test I get 8.6mbps and the ping is 141ms. However when it comes to actually downloading something off the net I get 848kb/s. Can someone please explain to me why this is the case. What happened to to all thoses megabytes I had? I have read so many articles about transfer rate, latency etc but still don't understand this issue. Please help me!

That sounds like a fair speed for 8mbps sir. I have a 4mbps line and pull about 380kbps...due to bad attenuation, etc

According to results line is running perfectly...but I know it's not and having difficulty convincing Telkom as well. Since beginning of last month my SNR dropped from a constant 11 and now it moves between 3 - 9.
my downstream rate on my router used to show 4096 Kbps now it sits at max 3708 Kbps

any ideas ?

Hi All,

Could someone with a webafrica/connection account please try run this tool and see if the international downloads work fine? I've had a report of it failing on these accounts...

Z :)
