I don't know where to post this, so Mods if you feel it should be somewhere else please feel free to move it.
Anyways, my question is this. Is it piracy when you download TV programs from the internet? Example. If I download Dirty, Sexy Money so I can watch it without the annoying adverts, is this piracy. If yes, is it not piracy to tape it on my VHS or DVD recorder when it actually airs? I pay a TV license/subscription so that the TV channel owner gets money to pay the distributor/production company for the show. If no, then why are the production companies spending so much on anti-piracy?
Any legal beagles out there? What do you think? What does the law say?
