Is it possible to keep wireless alive when closing lid?

I want to be able to close the lid on my MBP and still be able to access it remotely via ssh or scp. Is this possible?

Should be, I do it on my laptop.

There should be a setting under power management that allows you to set what action to take when lid is closed ie shut down, do nothing etc

You could try something like InsomniaX - but I'd be a little concerned about heat if you're going to be doing processor intensive activities.
