Hi Guys,

Just Wondering if this is possible.

I am in the middle of a CellC contract, but due to far too many missed calls and dropped calls I need to change service providers. Is it possible to:

  • Get new contract with another service provider (eg. MTN)
  • Port CellC contract number to MTN.
  • Get new cell C phone number.
  • Use MTN as primary service provider in new contract phone
  • Continue use Cell C with new number as secondary contact

I just used MTN as an example, it could be any other service provider.
I am losing business due to not being able to use the network. I need to retain the number for business purposes.

Likely you will have to pay in the remainder of your contract first, then you will be allowed to move.So you have 1 year of payments to pay them upfront :|

Hi JBenci

It is unfortunate to hear about your experience with Cell C network.

It is possible to convert your primary number to pre-paid so you are able to port, and be assigned a new number on the Cell C contract.
However, we would like an opportunity to resolve the issues you are having with our network. Please PM me your number and street address where you are mostly experiencing network problems.
