I'm own a factory and the majority outgoing calls is to cell numbers. At the moment we have 2 premiecell lines and are reasonably happy with the system. A firm gave us a quote for 2 VOIP to replace the premiecell-system. The router price is about R 18000 inc and according to the person the savings on telphone bill will be 27%. Is it the way to go or are their better options available. Advice please

Hi

How much do you currently pay for cellphone calls? Based on that I will be able to tell you if you can or cannot save more on them.

Cheers

Also what contracts are your premicells under ? Talk 500s or 1000s or what?

And what sort of calls do you make majority more than a minute or less than a minute.

Average R 3000 a month which is not bad for the amount of calls we have to make, imo. Not sure but I asume it's the talk 1000, our subs is R 800 for one premicell. The majority of calls is less than a minute.

Aaaaw comon man, all this speculation is just BS.
Insist on a 2 month trial, let them put their money where their mouth's are, or send them packing.

Thanx, I think this will be the way to go forward or maybe backwards, I'm even more worried now, according some mates the system is not ready for SA or SA is not ready for the system and they recon it's not worth it

Will you be dealing with clients on the VOIP system? If the quality is crap it could be a problem. Definitely insist on a trial....

Quality

What quality are they promising you on cell calls.
You can get very very cheap cell rates if you use bad quality cheap providers

If you want business quality then they should have a proper interconnect

Find out how they are routing the calls first!
