is it worth it?

Silver gives access to the business check-in queue (and boarding, I think), and access to the lounge. Which doesn't sound like much, but when you have a long layover or delay (like I had in Washington last year), that might prove useful. I actually qualified for Silver shortly before that trip, but since I had flown only weeks before, the cards didn't arrive in the post until after my departure. Bummer - I my flight was delayed by 7 hours!

D300 here at the airport for r15k. The best canon they have is the 500d.

Really? Is that an official change in policy, or just an observation? I'm probably bringing in a fair selection of goodies next time I visit.
It is official that the arrival cards and customs declaration forms are no more, and it's only my personal experience and observation that they no longer hound you for bag inspections (back-handers).

In my long line of foot shots this has to be one of the "better" ones - blurry, grainy and poorly framed - good mojo. :D

I had to read that a couple of times to figure out what the hell you're talking about!

C'mon - the camera:
Yeah - it's a canon and it was really cheap - cheaper than B&H if my math is right and I'll be getting more than €300 back from VAT when I leave so I'm not complaining.
