Is it worth dusting of my copy of wow and reinstalling with the new patch coming out?
The reason I quit was because of the long time it takes to level, heard that has been fixed.

So is it?

Which is 125 hours played time!!!
3 hours a night....thats 40+ days.
Then you are not even lvl 70 yet.

But yeah the new patch makes xp required from lvl 20-60 15% less.
Then also some quests from lvl30-60 now also gives more xp.

dude wow is about lvling a toon wont ever escape that so..........

If you don't have a life, play WOW.
If you have a life, skip WOW.

Funny I say that, because I said that to my friend and low and behold, he preached that to me not 1 month ago when I asked him "should I start playing WoW?"

I think for those capable of moderation, WoW is good fun, lack of life or otherwise. If you have a life, doesn't mean you can't play WoW, just means it will take longer to level because you won't be playing for 18 hours a day.

Yep dude..., but would be nice if it feels less like work.
It takes damn long to lvl up, and it is boring a lot of the time....grinding.
Especially if you have already done it before............

Long is a relative term. So for us doing it a second time it would be faster ofc. My remark was actually directed to the thread starter since he wont know what it is to lvl a toon till 70, so how will he have something to benchmark against and say boy this is much faster.

Btw i had one at 40...

Welcome to online MMORPG's in general. If the lvling was too quick, we'd all get bored really quickly and the various zones would all be empty.

If you'd like to experience a real grind, trying playing Everquest ......

Mobs lvls have changed and there stats i noticed doing BFHD last nigth.
They made alot of quests easier for the solo player.
Easier doesnt=better.

Or that stupid game MUonline FFS. played 7 months and only reached lvl 98 out of 300.

Ouch thats pretty bad.
When BC hit i rerolled and leveled 1-70. I think my played at the end was about 8days and I wasn't even leveling nearly as fast as I could of.

It's worth it. Leveling is just a means to an end. At 70 the game expands hugely. I never really understood just how much until I hit 60 on my first char and there were even less options back then.

lvling is faster now. I had to have 159k XP to lvl my lvl 51 char and now only need 129k, which helps a lot. If you are in the right area, you can kill mobs for 600-650 XP per kill (when rested) :) I'm def going to lvl another after the Mage :D

Dont know how you can talk about leveling another character after your current one. Sheesh. Id have to get seriously bored with my 70 toon before i put myself through the timeous task of leveling a new toon - regardless of whether or not they reduced XP requirements...its still a helleva mission, and time consuming... rather spend that time getting epic armour and running some heroics or doing some new raids.... :P

i dunno thats just me maybe

As soon as I hit lvl 70 I'm going on raids :D Believe you me :p My guild is waiting for me to hit 70 to start raids. Won't belong I hope :)

Definitely not worth it. PAYING TO DO WORK!!! no no no, are you sick?
