Is Kulula/Comair in trouble?

I was at the airport yesterday and the only delayed flights were Comair. Everyone I socialise with has commented on Kulula flights constantly being delayed.

Searched twitter and multitude of complaints about delayed flights. It has become a trend with Kulula. I am aware delays occur but it seems to be happening way too frequently with Kulula.

Are their aircraft being maintained?
Is there a cash flow issue?

I am actually surprised.They have maintained a good standard of service for a long time.

I wanted to fly Kulula but the trend of delays has put me off. Im pretty much stuck with safair and mango

Financially the comair group has been doing well. I think it's how they run their schedules and flight rotations. They really sweet their assets with a plane in the air most of the day so a delay in one leg has a long lasting effect on subsequent legs.

If Kulula was your girlfriend, you should be worried . (Tend to be late). Otherwise, company financial wise, they are doing well for an airline, as airlines are notorious to be difficult to keep profitable.

I have seen this also. After flying with them for years without issue, the last 3 flights were a nightmare due to flight delays, overbooking and lost luggage. Luckily the alternative flight offered due to overbooking fitted me better at the time so that worked out well.

I know all airlines have issues from time to time, I just find it strange that I suddenly now always have something happen on each flight of late while never having one thing happen in years and years.

Reputation for bad fleet management, but financially they are doing very good.
