Is loadshedding finished?

Yeah but in 5 billion years we will will run out of sun to - and then what.

The Earth will boil away and turn into a fiery lava planet long before that. We'll just have to wait. Be patient.

Eventually, we will run out of coal - it is a finite resource. Solar is a good way to go. If I had the money right now - I would do that.
I mean sure... one day a long long looooooong time from now SA will run out of coal.

Eventually the Sun will run out of fuel and die too I suppose.

Dear OP-
Loadshedding will be with you probably for the rest of your life unless you leave the country. It will never go away. The reason has to do with it being a political tool, without detracting from the fact that the ruling party f**k everything up

I ask because if it is coming back then I want to solar up now while things are calm and prices are low
You are very wise to plan and procure now. I did it over 3 years ago, and at the time, some looked at me as if I was Noah building the Ark. I still haven't regretted it.
Just choose wisely and buy quality that lasts, and it will serve you well. Even if the ANC loses power in 2024, and we get a crack team as Eskom, load shedding will be with us for at least another 7-10 years.

So we have had no loadshedding in Cape Town for quite a while now. A little has crept in just recently but mainly from 10pm at night.

Anyone heard anything concrete about whether loadshedding will be coming back again in the form of Stage 3 or 4 or worse? Or have ESKOM pulled off a miracle?

I ask because if it is coming back then I want to solar up now while things are calm and prices are low, compared to what they will be if loadshedding makes a comeback.
Loadshedding is not finished yet, But we are almost there and a lot of progress has been made since Andre left, he is the one who collapsed eskom. But the current management is working hard to fix all the issues that Andre created, The current CEO is losing sleep over corruption that happened during Andres tenure, They will soon stop this corruption and Eskom will flourish again.

It is just a matter of time before all is well, If you have solar I suggest you sell it now while it is still worth something, If you wait until they fix eskom before you sell it then oh boy are you going to make a huge loss.

What progress has been made? The EAF has been the lowest ever and it doesn't seem to be getting any better? Koeberg is delayed again for coming back on to the grid, Kusile came back for a brief sprint and seems to be broken again. So what progress?

Darling we haven't had loadshedding for almost a month. That to me is progress. Andre couldn't even keep the lights on for longer than 12 hours.

Who hasn't had load shedding for a month? Cause I had it last night, yesterday afternoon, the night before, plus this afternoon and tonight? So where was this magical world you're living in?

None of us have, Including Op who is in Cape town. I mean Op started this thread because they havent had loadshedding.

Maybe they have been stealing cables in your area, Doesn't mean its loadshedding.
