Amazon is looking for locals, with matric, to work from home in SA. Do you think matric is a qualification sufficient for a job that requires "intermediate computer knowledge" with an ability "to navigate the Internet, use email, and chat with customers via web chat tools"?

If it meets Amazon's requirements for the role then yes.

It is a start. The bare minimum. A place to self reflect and inner study. Eve though we are kinde stuffed even with Matric.

Assuming their interview process goes further than "do you have matric?", then obviously the answer is yes,

Matric + Life experience I don't see the issue.

It's just a baseline of education.

The flip side wouldn't work if they said they expect you to have a degree but only pay you R10-15k a month.

Other: no matric is never enough, especially not the insanely low bar set to pass matric in Wakanda these days

having said that, Amazon is a private company and can employ whatever level of moron they please, in which case the question is irrelevant, Amazon decided it is good enough and they are the only ones who should have an opinion

There are 2 questions:

"Is matric good enough?"
"Has amazon set the bar too low?"

A "Yes" answer would cancel itself out.
There is one question attached to the poll. Suggest you consider answering that one.

Nah... it's an irrelevant poll.

But if one does post a poll with a question in the headline as well, it would make sense that that question coincides with the poll question.

Otherwise rather don't have a question as a headline at all.

PSA

T's &C's Apply.

Assuming they would have a basic assessment to weed out those without the necessary skills. Matric really just a tick box
