Hi guys,
So with my graphics card(HD 3850) the art work or what ever you call it is facing downward. So that has sort of bothered me but I have never really cared. Now when I have been looking for a new GFX card (HD 4890) I have noticed that it too will be facing downward in my case. So I thought maybe it was an ATI thing but the GTX 260 is also like that. So I was wondering if it is just mine or are most mobos like this?:erm:
It is kinda dumb as they put this fancy artwork on it that you cant even see!!
 
do u look at your monitor or at the inside of your pc all the time?

all graphics cards are designed that way
 
how did i get here? I'm not good with compootah o_O

lol.. well my pc is right next to my monitor and it has a see through panel so I sometimes take a gander in there :P
 
if it irks you that much, turn your tower upside down, just mount your cdrom drive upside down as well
 
If the window is on the right the GFX fan and kuk faces up and if the window is on the left the GFX fan and kuk faces down.

So no, it's not dyslexic just upsidedown;)

I do stand to correction though
 
Artwork = marketing so it's not dumb at all, who cares how the card sits in the chassis,
the eye-candy should be on your monitor, not in the box. If it really bugs you build a kinda mirror thing so you can see it.
 
Interesting, I've never come across this question before...

But as others have said, it's perfectly normal for your card to be inserted face-down, though there are some cases that have the motherboard tray upside-down.
 
Actually now thinking about it, the original PC design is desktop, as in horizontal mobo, so the VGA card will stand upright therefore it would not possibly be upside down. So blame the Tower not the card.
 
so I should lie my case down then cut a hole on the bottom?

You know what would happen if they had crap artwork? People would not buy the product because the artwork is crap even though they never look at it :D

Humans are very developed but pretty pictures sell even when you never see the pretty pictures.
 
I know I know, it's because your PC Case was designed my an American :p

They drive on the right side of the road we drive on the Left, so if you had a compliant PC case the mobo would mount on the other side and the connection would face upwards...
