I recently bought a Gigabyte Rx570 4GB and when I connect the 8pin power cable to my gpu the screen doest not turn on is this caused by my power supply that is 500W Bronze from Gigabyte.

What processor?

Should be sufficient power for that GPU.

With the power cable plugged in and the PC on, oook at the top of the GPY where the 8-pin connector is plugged in. There is an LED there, check if it is shining or blinking. It should be off.

thanks I have a i5 3470 btw

Should be way more than enough. cpu ~ 80W and gpu ~ 130W

So the cpu should easily handle the load unless it's faulty. The cpu tells me the motherboard is old so you might have to update the MB bios to the latest version as they don't always play nice with newer gpus. Try updating the bios and report back.

Thank you! but the motherboard is not too old its a MSI Z77A G34. but I will update its bios! if I find out how!

Stupid question, but does your MB have a onboard graphics card and have you disabled it when connecting the GPU?

Yeah, I checked your MB and it does have onboard as well. Is your pc completing a start up cycle without anything coming onto the screen? ie can you hear startup music when it enters windows and the like? Just try switching cable to the onboard to see.
