Is Netflix killing our internet?

No service that is driving demand for bandwidth is "killing" the internet they're driving demand for bandwidth. The internet will always need more bandwidth, it's the nature of the internet.

Yes but reading into it the ISPs are not happy with the traffic on their networks, so we going have the likes of everybody gunning Netflix down and asking for everything to be regulated. And if the local ISPs are throttling Netflix then the question comes in, will Netflix invest to create a better user experience in another country ?

I agree 100% that this should drive demand for more bandwidth..... only bugger is that none of our service providers have ever been good at fast turnaround or thinking ahead of the demand....
 
Oh dear, ISP's will start charging Netflix to use there networks :)
 
Not so sure those 'Netflix in a box' solutions make a lot of difference locally....

It does prevent international streaming but it still requires local bandwidth.
In the US Netflix can be up to 40% of local traffic...

The exchanges & cell towers can only handle so much and it is definitely having an effect.
