Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking. I know in all probability she'll say 'no' but all the other forumites (excl. Debbie) are making me feel I shouldn't even phone her. Yes the signs look obvious...but...
 
You can't use FB as yardstick for what ppl think about you, it's nothing more than a website. Having a list of 600 friends says nothing about how popular you are.

That said, maybe she's as shy as you are. Maybe she was "quite involved" in a conversation with her lady friend... about you.:eek:

Best approach is the direct approach, worst she can do is say no. It's the not knowing that'll get you down.

Ifs, buts, maybes, what ifs are a biatch.

One thing though - You MUST ask her in person. Face to Face. Something's should be done properly and this is one of them.

As for the other comments ... I would hate to go through life thinking 'what if?' ... but that's just me.

It seems Mr Rooney is using the wrong head to figure this out. :o. She might be hot but her personality stinks going by what you've provided so far. So I'd say no
 
Whats there to loose? If she says No, so what? Atleast you tried... A few months from now you wont even see 80% of the people thats in your school ever again...

Pick up the phone and PHONE her. Dude, I can't stress this **** enough.

You don't ask a girl on a date via SMS/EMail/MSN/Facebook etc

If you do that crap SHE has the power to go "Oh well, I can choose not to reply to this"

Well guess what happens when you phone her or speak to her in person? SHE HAS TO RESPOND.

Now go out there and get that piece of ass for your matric dance or this will haunt you forever!

Yes. At least he had a go. If I remember correctly that devious Medusa was stringing him along while she lined up a replacement unit. Women - can't live with them, can't live without them - hmphff!

At least I tried. And most of the serious conversations were done over the phone and in person when I flew down in June...

Err...I didn't ask her out to the matric dance on Facebook lol. That is very inappropriate - I'm not one of these mIRC geeks. I think I'll phone her..TONIGHT!...*holds thumbs*

Don't sound desperate. Here's a sample line that would impress me if I was being asked:

"I have my matric dance in August and I think you would make a good companion for the evening. Would you be interested in coming along with me?"

Write it down and read it. Don't try to remember it :). I totally messed up the invite call when I asked my date. Lucky for me she still said yes.
