A few international sites work, majority don't. I seriously can't be stuck with a half working not yet capped IS account. Haven't used IS in a while but got my SAIX capped, and i am not impressed. Service levels have dropped terribly. This has been the status quo for the past week.

And their BS story they're feeding people about DoS attacks isnt working. Not going to bother using an IS account for international B/W next month.

Just bought a prepaid 1 gig top up account from Web Africa, i cant deal with this IS bs.

There's something wrong somewhere, most sites hosted in EU and Asia work fine, but most US sites aren't working properly at all. I tried my WA prepaid account and all the sites that wouldn't load on IS load fine.

For those with Rapidshare Premium accounts, which mirrors are you finding are working ok at the moment?

thinking of getting an IS satellite link account.
How often do they have these problems Icyrus ?
Would you reccomend an account through IS bandwith?
Thanks

I've got the same problem here - EU and Asia seem fine, but the US is non-existant - 4 days now on a business uncapped unshaped IS account - I wonder if IS will reimburse me for business lost ? Everything seems to work fine on 3G though...

Sheesh - I could "ditto" all the above.

I use WA Prepaid 1GB most of the time for intl and IS for local.
Budget is getting tight though with Mbweni's little paw in my back pocket tho, so I am trying to cut corners and save where possible.

Seems I am going to have to rather use 1ply to save the few rands, and get that 1GB WA - since IS does not stand for "International is Superior"

IS have gotten progressively worse for the last 2 years. They have problems all the time and both their business ADSL and home ADSL are often unusable for anything other than browsing IS's own FTP server. This is just the very tip of the iceberg.

At this point I would not recommend IS to anyone.

I agree with icyrus.
As much as it pains me to say this, rather use Telkom.

Exactly.

This country needs consumer laws and consumer rights that are enforced.
