No comments yet from any IS resseller regarding their anouncement that the wont be taking on any more accounts until the IPC problem has been resolved!

Feel sorry for the people that wont make there targets for commission this month......

And the IPC problem is ... ? That it priced way to expensively? Helloo? Knock, knock. Ispa anyone home? ;-)

LOL, looks like I will have to shelve my plans to get 28GB of local...:D

When 2Mbps cost R20k p/m, virtually no business can give 28GB away. Unless you pay with Funny Money. I just happen to have a truck load handy.

Unless youre zapping the 28g over your peering link instead of the IPC!

more info?

Please give us some more info on what the hell is going on with IS?

We have at work IS internet and this is by far the worst internet that I have ever seen, both speed and reliability wise. It is truly comparable to 14400 modem from 1995 or so. I wonder why the people get it on first place, it is useless, although SAIX is f***g expensive, at least it is fast and reliable!

Dear Partners and Customers,

Internet Solutions has today taken a decision to temporarily suspend the provisioning of any new IS ADSL users on our network. "

This has been up on Imaginet's site for quiet some time now (that's where I saw it first)

I personally think that the decision was made a bit too late though.

Businesses in South Africa have got a lot to learn.

lol i got my new is account just in time ...yesterday :) (for the news server)

Just in time

haha, i dont think you were just in time, i think you were a day to early. I wouldnt brag about having IS at all, i feel ashamed and stupid.

as i say only use it for local dl ie usenet had it before know international is crap so i use my cybersmart account for surfing etc

Pity but its the responsible thing to do. UUNet didnt do it until it was too late and it garnered them a fair bit of bad will.

Where is IS???

I would feel a lot better ,as a customer of IS, hearing what they have to say on this forum / what the hell they are planning on doing to make currently disgruntled consumers happy again.

To my knowledge the 2x155Mbps links were supposed to be installed on Monday. This did happen, but due to a small 'technical' telkom-glitch the deployment did not work.

I think this public statement is part of a 're-information' campain from IS to the public. It is also part of a (legal) letter to Telkom and the Competition board, stating all sorts of deadlines and threatening lawyers and court interdicts.

GO IS!!!

Hopefully with wimax IS and other big isps can provide their own local loop connectivity. semi competition like we have i adsl atm will never work

Refund

I would seriously like a refund my IS for days with s h i t bandwidth. Or somehow they should make it up
