IS suspend ADSL accounts

I find it interesting how this forum seems to stand up for Internet Solutions, yet there's never an official word from them on these forums ?

Surely, if IS really cared about the terrible status of broadband in SA, they would be active members of MyADSL, or at least have a company spokesperson?

Then again, in the words of someone I knew who worked there some years back, "they are so far up thier own arses, they can no longer see thier elbows"

I really don't see IS as being any more of an honest company than Telskum.

We have at work IS internet and this is by far the worst internet that I have ever seen, both speed and reliability wise. It is truly comparable to 14400 modem from 1995 or so. I wonder why the people get it on first place, it is useless, although SAIX is f***g expensive, at least it is fast and reliable!

The effects of this rocks all the way to the bottom of the internet sales food-chain. People who got advertising money are now without it, resellers are losing etc...

All this because Telkom is a state run circus!

This is weird, if download a single large file from SAIX i get 52K or so but with IS i get my full 112K, i have to use a download accelerator with SAIX to get my full bandwidth, so maybe i will stick with IS, only been a few days with them and there have been gliches but nothing to tear my hair out.

Happy again

Well i thought i felt it lastnite and reading the article this morning that IS now has 70Mpbs. Speeds are back to normal and loving it! Just wish they never had to go signup more people now. Looking forward to this weekend for the full 155Mbps upgrade
