Is Telkom Local Still Uncapped?

I just checked on my usage at the TITracker page and have noticed the following message is prominently displayed on at least 2 pages.

"Please note: Local Bandwidth is in a testing phase and more details will be communicated at a later stage.

Please ignore usage that accrues on the Local Bandwidth tracking tool and will have no impact on your original blended threshold purchased."

I have read elsewhere in this forum that local will be limited to 10G per 1G of your package. The question is : Is this already in place and is Telkom late in changing the webpages at TITracker or is the free local for all still continuing?

Has anyone been capped after exceeding their international and local limits this month?

AFAIK you dont get capped you just pay more per gig over the 10gb limit

yes but......

if you have a 1GB account you get 10GB local
2GB 20GB local etc.

anything over the limit amounts to R23 per GB

I would seriously not test telkom on their R25.55 billing claim..

Yes they have made a public announcement that after X usage you are going to billed....so even if the tracker page message is there - i'd seriously watch out for being charged!

i agree - ISDN in some cases - much better latency for international games but on unstable lines=costly!!

I used used up all my local gigs (3 Int - 30 Local), now i'm dying here? Do we have any formal responses from telkom on the activation of the billing on local bandwidth used after the total allocation (3 int and 30 local, meaning after 33 gigs downloaded on 3Gig line).

Are there any saix product other than openweb IS that I can buy for the rest of the months downloading?

Please advise.
