There has been some speculation that there are Telkom employees who read these forums. Whether or not any of this gets passed on to people higher up in Telkom is another issue.

However, I do believe Telkom is very aware of our gripes, but I think it boils down to them just not caring and being more interested in pleasing their shareholders rather than their customers.

I don't think they have come to the realisation of the very real need to find a balance between pleasing their customers and their shareholders

Until they have real competition I doubt that they'll be giving a crap about the forums here. When things are starting to look bad for them they might start listening to their customers but while the department of communications is still sleeping and not doing their job Telkom has nothing to fear.. The higher ups are probably sitting back, relaxing, and having a nice long laugh at the "unrealistic" expectations at the South African public.
