is telkom really this stupid?

So, i cancelled my telkom do 3 package, paid in the difference for the remainder of the contract, asked them not to cancel the 4mbps line. But they did, they cancelled the damn line. Reapplied for the 4mbps line, just the line, but now they are saying that 4mbps is not supported in my area, wtf?! i used it for more than a year and a half! and one day after cancelling, its not supported anymore! What the flying f...

yea no, seriously. And the funny thing is, they said they can see that i use to have 4mbps at the same exchange.

Had a similar experience. Was happilly using a 4mbps connection for years. Temporarily degraded to 512kbs because damage to the line and exchange made it impossible to sync anywhere near even the minimum speed for thier "fastest" lines.

Two months later they fixed the exchange but refused to put me back on the 4mbps linespeed even though the SNR and line attenuation made is easily possible. "Sorry seh, your exchenge she does not do more then 512 speeds"

The real joke is that I'm on one of the exchanges that was used for the 10mbps trial and is still slated for the first round of upgrades to that speed next month.
