How would I know if my E620 data card from MTN is network locked?

I did try it with Vodacom briefly a few days ago and it did connect but it lost the connection after downloading about 0.5 mb. I dont know why - maybe because it lost the 3g signal.

I tried it with VM and it didnt work - but I think that's because of the sim card problem.

It would not connect with a VC sim at all - I have connected all week with a VC sim and it is working fine - no connection dropouts. I was browsing with 3g preferred and no hassels. Have d/l about 9meg and then I stuffed up with my add hoc bundle on vodacom4me and the bundle dissapeared.
I am not paying R2 per meg.

VC pre-paid

I have tried to log on with VC. It connects but does not download anything.

It might be a logon/setting proble. I also had problems getting 3G it defaults to GPRS. It might just be a VC problem.

Any device that is network locked will give you a sim error when you insert a sim of another SP.

In this case the VC sim did log on to the internet when you inserted it into your MTN data Card so it's not locked.

Thanks to all for the help.

I think the conclusion is that it is not network locked. MTN-DD also told me that if the card was from MTn it wouldnt be.
