Is there a cure for procastination

I often have a work for work avoidance pile. Tons of things that I get down while avoiding something else. For the most part I procrastinate if I am feeling swamped or like there is nothing that needs to be done urgently. Actually taking a day off to procrastinate also helps a lot. Setting a time to start working on something does nothing for me and I end up staring at my screen if I do.

The only thing I find helps me is to just force myself to do it.

It's quite simple actually, get your priorities straight.

and realize how pathetic it is.
I feel sorry for myself having to get up to be at training @ 05:30, until I see people standing in the cold waiting for a taxi to get to work at the same time.

I think it goes something like this.
Procrastination is like masturbation. At first it feels good, but in the end you're only screwing yourself.
