Day dates, u don't have to shower for.
Rugby isn't a bad idea, if she likes rugby, there'll be a few 1000 women there.

Active and outgoing doesnt equal rugby fan:) And your friend is quite right. If you want her to know that you are interested in being more than just friends, then you have to be prepared to do the dirty work and set the mood. Its not easy setting the mood around thousands of rugby fans screaming "Spear tackle the ****ss".

Why not try finding out what she likes 1st instead of assuming. Call her and explain that you want to show her the time of her life and make conversation about things she likes. Find some mutual ground then make plans. Remember, its not always about the venue though, its about the company which sounds hypocritical but seriously, rugby will get you on the sports friends list, which is even worse than he ordinary friends list!

i dont know about the rugby for a first date.. its like buying a engagement ring at game, you know its not a good idea but darn it you are still tempted

If she's into sports then I don't see a problem, but it's best to find out if she is. ;) Have fun!

I don't recommend the rugby for a first date....
Next she will expect a bundu bash for a wedding!

having said that, rugby is a k@k idea for any "date".

Agreed.

How would you like it if she took you shoe shopping as a "first date"?

Watching a bunch of grown men in tight shorts pat eachother on the asses and climb on top of eachother is hardly a woman's idea of a "date".

Every couple of months I take my girlfriend shopping, usually with around a R1k limit. She's a student, doesn't earn her own cash at the moment, so I like to spoil her sometimes, so she can get herself some nice stuff which she wouldn't be able to otherwise afford.

Why don't you take her on a picnic?

Take her shopping :p

thats the perfect date for any female :)
Yeah - great idea . . . if you want to end up being that guy - you know - the one who she later regales with all the stories of the men she is sleeping with.

LMAO - very true!

Well I think it really depends on whether or not she is a fan of rugby. I for one would think that a wonderful date. It's fun, takes a bit of pressure off and is original. And the whole thing of "Where would YOU like to go? What movie would YOU like to see? What restaurant do YOU want to go to? Anything YOU want to do is what we will do" is a tad annoying. If a guy asks: Would you prefer Chinese food or Pizza? then that's fine. Options are cool, but complete lack of decision making on the male point is blah.

haha thanks guys....so I think the general consesus is no rugby haha...cool i'll make plan b then shot
