Hi guys,

I just got an email response to my junkmail ad for my car, but the entire thing looks odd. Anyone care to give their feelings on it?

You have received feedback from an interested party regarding your advert 2011/08 with the ad text: Mercedes Benz 190E for sale. 1993. 245000km, has air con, power steering, cd player and electric windows. Very well maintained car with service history to prove it. 2.0L manual. (45000.00)

Almost certain is a scam..

I have a set of rules when selling stuff, and i let people know from the first communication.

If paying by cash, cash has to be taken to a bank, verified and deposited before any handing over of goods.
If paying via direct transfer, confirmation emails/sms's are not sufficient. Money needs to be verified before goods handover (2-3days may be needed)

In the case of your vehicle, I would inform them that goods can be viewed at the nearest police station. Before any test driving, a copy of the drivers license and id book is required.

Good luck man, sell safe!
