So my Telkom line is up and down through out this evening, decided to connect my Omnia to the Netbook via USB and use internet connection sharing to enjoy MTN's HSDPA broadband experience.

What do you guys think?

I am in Rosebank Johannesburg (which people will expect decent coverage), my phone displayed HSDPA signal through out the test. Don't think the USB connection is the limiting factor. And by the way 3G/HSDPA signal at my house is not stable since I first switched to MTN last November.

Well not normal for HSDPA, but normal for MTN HSDPA . Either way i see the time on your screenshot was 8pm....you're lucky you could even connect! Between 5-9pm is a massive exercise in frustration for me. Try 1am-5am for better speeds.

That's 8pm UK time, I did the test minutes before I posted here.

Well....that would be 9pm in SA.
I can only say MTN's network is a mess!!
I got close to dial-up speed for month....At least now it improved
