Everything Is good except for the AMD Processor and AMD Motherboard.

That AMD Processor you have (AMD ATHLON X4 II Quad Core) gets owned by an Intel Core i3 2nd Gen, which is dual core. AMD's best Processor (The Phenom X6) gets owned by i5.

I recommend you get a Intel Core i7 2600K if your budget can strech for one, or get Core i5 or Core i3.

Nvidia said you need a GTX 580 to run Battlefield 3 comfortably. I think your GPU can run it well so dont worry about that one.

Replace The AMD Processor and the AMD Motherboard.

great thanks for the info. What about a i3? i do not wna spend more than R7000...

Nothing less than I5 2500 :)

If you can build the PC up yourself, then buy from Takealot.com (Take2) and Sybaritic.co.za. Sybaritic is cheaper in most cases, but Takealot has great deals on Power Supplies, Motherboards, Ram and Graphics Cards.

Do you mean for your whole PC no more than R7000?

If Not, then Rather get an i5 2500K at least. Here is the Link (from sybaritic): http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/product_info.php?cPath=21_688&products_id=52069

Then you must get an Intel LGA 1155 Motherboard. You can check that out here: http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/index.php?cPath=81_689

If you do Mean you only can spend 7 Grand on the whole thing, then Get the i3.

Check out the list of i3 (2nd Gen) Here: http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/index.php?cPath=21_687

Check out the motherboard (LGA 1155) :http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/index.php?cPath=81_689

OR:

If you want to save some cash, you could get the i3 (1st Gen) : http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/index.php?cPath=21_614

Then you will have to get an LGA 1156 Motherboard for that: http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/index.php?cPath=81_593

2nd Gen is the Latest range of processors (i3, i5, i7) from Intel. It is much better than the previous Gen.

yes it gets owned by intel in cpu intensive applications. But in gaming nothing owns nothing. That cpu will keep up with that gpu just tap it up to 3.6Ghz .
What's your native resolution?

Isn't Gaming like the most CPU Intensive Applications?

no lol
99 percent of the games are gpu intensive. The gpu will determine what performance and fps you will get in the end.
At low resolutions the cpu have to work harder and is prone to bottleneck quicker than on high resolutions.
On high resolutions there's more workload on the gpu which means the cpu if normally running around 3.5 will no problem keeping up with the gpu.
The less workload on the gpu the faster it cuts through its workload the harder it is for the cpu.
That's why is important to buy a gpu to match your native as a overkill will bottleneck a cpu and youll have to overclock the crap out of it.

Cpu intensive tasks are Video editing applications like Photoshop and video conversion etc etc

However BF3 does like AMD processors with lots of cores.

Try aim for a AMD Phenom II X6 T1055, it will push your budget by a few R100 but it will still work out quite a bit cheaper than going I5 route and is far superior to the Athlon range.

Here's a link showing more or less where the Athlons sit in performance wrt BF3 (last image on page):

I'm running BF3 on a Q6600 (stock, no OC), Nvidia GTX550Ti, 4Gb Ram
Runs very nicely.

What do you have currently?
Either get a i5-2500k or the i7-2500k/2600k, nothing less, else you'll be upgrading in a few months time again...
A good MB & ram & CPU is just over R4.5k alone.

@OP
Since you are on a budget, a Phenom II X4 like the 955 or 965 is your best bet. You could try for a 6 core, but its likely beyond your budget unfortunately. And please dont listen to people like nga
