Good heavens what a setup. He probably means r20000 in which case it's more than worth.

That Opteron CPU cost around R10 000 - R13 000 on its own.

Perhaps R119 999 is pushing it... wait for the input from those in the know.

No, the ad on gumtree clearly states R119 999.00 , sounds hectic though.

Hmmm, that about covers the H100 and GPUs... Looks like this is from a shop, but I cannot imagine anyone actually paying that for a gaming PC, apart from the fact that AMD is not the best CPU for gaming, regardless of number of cores, and that the GTX680 does not yet scale nearly as good as the HD7970 in multi-card setups...

bwahaha... good luck getting that sold... The components in there are not cheap, but 120k? really?

Proccessor should have been an Intel, not AMD (Not a fanboy of either, but a top-end system should have top-end components, and currently that is Intel).
Hard-drives in that system are overkill (no need for the velociraptors if you have SSD).
GFX in that system are overkill... no need for triple-SLI to run a 1080p display...
Dual PSU? WTF? All those components should be able to run off 1 PSU. And wtf do you even put 2 x psu's in that case?

Well, with all the hard drives in there and the 55" FHD LCD etc, I suppose R120000 is possible, but if it is worth it, is another question.

I have heard of people spending 100k on a gaming PC... the thing is you can play all the games on max but by the time its even running on its full potential there will be much cheaper hardware that can run at the same speed.

Value for money, a 50k pc will probably last just as long.(Before you need to upgrade)

Roughly 60k without the screen and software (which OP has left out)

Software could be anything from 10k-30k, mostly dependant on what version of Photoshop it is
Printer is another 6k
Screen he has shown isnt out yet as far as I can tell, but its definately 20k+, older models are 18k...

rather put that down as my first payment towards a fully programmable robot with silicone skin to philander with.

I would offer maybe R70k on that item.. MAYBE...

No gaming pc is worth R120k... you could get similar performance from a R20k machine.
