Is this setup worth R119 999?

How long do you think a setup like this will last before it needs upgrading?

Its hard to say but if it lasted 5 years, you could have spent 20k and upgraded that machine with 20k every year for another 4 years

Same amount of money and at the end of the 5 years you either have an old pc or a brand new one.... tough choice.
 
Just actually had a look at the advert..

Anyone who actually uses that company is probably in for a massive surprise when they get ripped off.

No physical address, no landline, and the email address and website are DODGY to say the least.
 
I think the guy is lying about the specifications and software licenses.

Like you cannot have that many drives connected without an expansion card on that motherboard.
Using 2 PSU's is impractical.
You don't get Corsair DDR3 2600MHz memory modules.
How can you provide a 5 year warranty when most components only come with a maximum of 3 years (except for the PSU which comes with 7).

I'm very tempted to report his things...
 
What was the name of that Cape Town scammer that took people's money for IT stuff and then did a vanish and tried to convince people he was overseas / in prison / innocent or whatever.... Brian something...

It would not surprise me if this is him all over again.

Money up front... poof.... gone.

Must be a joke then... because no one with that amount of money will just hand it over to a non entity.

I have no idea of current pricing, but is the spec really going to make such a huge difference to gaming? As per BOFH, I think you could spend less than that for gaming needs.

One could easily configure a rig for R200k :p And then you would probably be getting less than 30fps with all settings maxed out!
 
Who in their right mind will fork over R120k before actualy taking that baby for a spin?

1) As loosely mentioned above, the CPU is not compatible.
2) Only 7 SATA ports (+1 eSata), but 10 drives mentioned, not including optical. Must be an extra SATA card involved.
3) Case does not have space for dual power supplies.

120k for a pc WOW

just to mutch

will rather get a BMW E36 M3 for about 80-100k
and still have 20k+ left of a pc

and a single 680 2gb is more than enoth for games
8gb ram are also verry good

and amd cpu WTF
if u want a high end pc,get intel
:P
 
It's a expensive system but not worth 120k:erm:.Dam i'd rather buy a car with that money.
 
I could probably think of other ways i could use that money lol and wait 2 years down the line and look at the price of this machine again

+1 also IF that CPU did fit on that board it only support ECC Reg memory ... what a n00b :wtf:
