I've grown my wombbroom (aka "bokkie") now for 5 months, its almost 6cm long now. I noticed that now that I'm stressing more at work I pull and touch at it more.

I can pull out the hairs no problem (and I'm losing a lot of head hair as well)

I remember when my ex had a tweaser and wanted to pull out the 1mm hair on my lip I missed while shaving. Hurt like a bitch, but pulling out these long hairs, they come out easy and doesn't hurt at all....

I also noticed split ends/breaks. Should I wash/condition my beard like you would hair?

Or maybe I should go to the doc? I dunno... losing hair is freaking me out now..

I cannot pull out my beard - just tried and it hurts like a beeyatch!

5 months and you are only on 6cm??

Its the same with long hair, you just notice it more. I also have a beard (well use to have a full beard not have a long bokkie), and though it seems like its falling out in mass migration its not.

And yes you should wash your beard, and then rinse really well. You can easily get "dandruff" in your beard

Haven't noticed dandruff, but I did notice FOOD get stuck to it.

The other day I was eating Mcd's and a small fry fell out of the bunch I was eating or something and I only felt/noticed something in my beard afterwards... and I was like "score, chippies!"

I usually guage the amount of food in my beard on my wifes response after I have eaten something saucy.

It ranges from a smile and a little kiss, to total revulsion

(If the Arabs sell it) buy Kerastase Specifique Bain Prevention and use it to wash your hair and beard.

1) it's normal for some of the hair to fall out/be pulled out easily
2) yes, wash the beard
3) stop constantly pulling on it though (you're just loosening the hair and making it brittle)

Yeah, my goatee's about +-20cm now and I'm lucky to have a really thick beard but I definitely lose quite a lot of hair. I have a brush that I brush my beard with every morning and it looks like my old hairbrush from when I still had hair. Yet, the beard doesn't appear to be thinning. I also have serious split end issues. I find it quite relaxing to trim the split ends with my mustache scissors sometimes though. :)
