IS Uncapped 512!!??????

Hi there I have quick question, I have currently IS 512 uncapped account got nice router from IS with 5 static IP's all nice.
I have 4mb line but my account is 512kb/s my dnl speeds are no faster than 60 kb/s when I contact IS they explain to me that thats how they uncapped account works if I wane run my full line speed I should get 1024kb/s account (where cost duble).

Is this right? O somebody is taking me for a ride?????:(:(
When I use my own router with SAIX or even IS account but not uncapped my dnl speeds are in 420kb/s!!

Please sombody explain to me how all that size of the account works !!!!!!:eek::eek:

I have uncapped account but only 60kb/s dnl speed on 4mb line!!!

You should show me how you het 420 speeds on a 512 line. Maybe patent the idea
 
So you bought the line and the account separately?

I think at the end of the day all bandwidth is per gig, so a 512kbps uncapped account is cheaper because you'll use less gigs than a guy on the 1024kbps uncapped account. Is your account's speed limited all the time or only during the day, some accounts don't have the speed limit imposed after hours...
 
Okay I understand and sorry I didnt read it twice, but do you understand that uncapped means unlimited data not unlimited speed. You took the 512 account which means they gonna give you unlimited data at 512 speeds. There is a reason the 1024 is double the price. Otherwise everyone will get the 384 uncapped on a 4mb line and bankrupt IS.
It is standard ISP business practice.

I truly hope all the articles posted in the last 6 months about cheaper bandwidth will come true. Maybe then we will see what you thought you will get.
 
quick question..

is this account the same as the axxess uncapped express account where you get full line speed after hours??
 
so the best solution is actualy get one of thouse Express accounts!!
I dont know the is always catch with services.
You can have unlimited data but only at slow speed.
Its like having petrol station and have 10cc bike to go around the world.Geeez thats just fully sucks.I will send they router back and say F.... you very much and get express 512 account.

No its not express account its what they say "true uncapped account" with 5 static Ip's and with pre-configured router!
 
The account is limited to 512kbps, duh! Why do you think there are different accounts? Do you expect full speed on a 4Mbit line if you get the 384kbps uncapped account?

If you want true uncapped after hours, then look into one of those new Axxess uncapped accounts...
 
how much is your 512 costing anyhow? um, the IS folks at the call center have it right, you will not ever get downloads faster than 60kB/s on their 512 account
