Hi,

I'm looking at buying a 'new' secondhand nokia e51. The seller says it is in perfect condition and virtually unused but he doesn't have the original invoice as it was a gift

I'm a bit nervous to buy it without the original invoice as I'm unsure if the warranty is still valid without it.

What do you think?
Does antone have any experience with this?

He says if I go to Nokia they will give me a warranty printout to prove when the handset was activated and that its not blacklisted

I don't even know where nokia is!

There is a Nokia store at Vodaworld in Midrand

If the phone is not blacklisted, the original warranty usually still applies. Phone your sp and give them the IMEI number, they will tell you if it is blacklisted. Then phone a Nokia service center and ask about the warranty.
