Because 5Kb isn't a good speed, if anything people would read this and realise not to bother with IS local accounts for downloading.

I'm leaning more and more to saix for the few gigs I need at decent speeds.

Anyway the "It's somehow only our IS newsserver so don't let anyone know" attitude is stupid. I'd make as many threads about it as I wanted if I got my IS account and had questions. I hope you never complain about a lack of users caching content locally?

R15/GB is a joke. 1GB is more than enough to get the news/posts on the groups and worth the premium for the added speed you get.

Well obviously you don't buy it for downloading tons of series and movies. Not everyone needs to dl 30GB every month, so for the speed to get what you want instead of 5kb getting what you probably hardly want after the first few months of 30GB... it has a place.

I'd still get a 10GB local only account if I thought the newserver would be worthwhile..

you can do 400meg an hour thats around 9 -10 gigs a month, then if you keep up with newshost u can get full speed alot of the time

easily do 30 gig a month

You only get to keep up with what's uploaded, I don't want a lot of the new series and movies, I'd only be interested in so much, and mostly in "niche" music. I'm sure I'd still love it though

I'll go with IS if I get my line and international account from an ISP who has IS local. The cheapest ones so far don't have IS accounts.
