Erm is it just me or has the SAIX newsserver also taken a dump lately? When I started out I could download anything at full speed and like IS it's started to go downhill unless the content is "Cached".

Erm is it just me or has the SAIX newsserver also taken a dump lately? When I started out I could download anything at full speed and like IS it's started to go downhill unless the content is "Cached".
Are all IS users experiencing this or could this be isp related?

I'm on email duty today, but will tell you what i know.
Due to the popularity of the news server, the demand outstrips the supply.
We have asked IS whats up and the only conclusive info we can extract
was that they are building a new News server, and they didnt commit on
any ETA.
I emailed OpenWeb about the problem, and specially the slow speeds I've been getting from the News Server.
Well, their reply was :
those were the days ............. full speeds and stuffs
We're heard that many times.
Those were the days, when certain things weren't advertised over public forums. This is what happens when people flock to a source.
