Hi folks
We have received an invitation from ISOC_ZA (Internet Society South Africa) to their next meeting:
“The Internet Society of South Africa (ISOC-ZA) runs a community forum every second month were we debate issues of relevance to the home user.
Our next forum takes place on Tuesday 5 July 2005 at 18:00. The format of the meeting will be a discussion with question, answers and suggestions and we encourage audience participation. I have included a draft invite to give you an idea.
We would really appreciate your presence and participation on the panel and possibly even myADSL thoughts”
The discussion will be around:
“Come and share your concerns about the astronomically high costs that the government allows Telkom to inflict upon us.
The next ISOC-ZA Cape Town community forum will be a discussion on practical ways for us to reduce these costs as well as ways of forcing government to speed the deregulation and competition. We need your participation.
There are some experts invited and ideas for cheaper access costs, call charges and bandwidth charges will be discussed.
Date: Tuesday July 5 2005,
time: 17h45,
Venue: Bandwidth Barn
Address: 125 Buitengracht St, Cape Town”
I think this is another good opportunity for us to Interact with other organizations and voice our ideas and concerns. As I am currently in JHB I will unfortunately not be able to attend, but it will be great if our CT based members might be willing to attend.
If you see your way clear to attend this meeting please PM me: I will then make certain you get in contact with the organizers.
Thanks and regards,
RPM
