I'm working on an application that will display some form of maps/landscape and data.
I need two ways to display it, due to the vast range of hardware it might be run on, one low performance and a very nice version for the gaming PCs.
So a friend suggested to use an isometric engine for the low performance version... Like what Diablo II used. My google-fu must be a bit rusty, because I can't find much on the subject involving XNA.
Hence, this post.
I'll figure out the fancy 3D side of it all when I get there.
Does anyone have some experience with it or any info that will help?
