Hi Peeps

How good are the fibre routers supplied by ISP when you sign up with them, will the signal strength be strong enough for an apartment.

I have an issue with weak signal strength when in the next room with the ISP supplied D-Link router and want to negate this when going fibre.

I struggle to stream from PC in the next room.

It really depends entirely on the environment that your router and devices are in. If your walls are thick, or made of concrete and have lots of rebar, your WiFi will still probably be an issue. Remember, WiFi is only as strong as the device that's connecting to it - your laptop and cellphone need to be able to send signals back to the router (IP is a two way communication).

Rather consider spending a little and purchasing a small Mesh WiFi Kit (Tenda has a two unit one) that will provide better coverage in your apartment by adding an additional access point.
