Impressive...

OpenWeb looks good. How can I get a 1MB Trial account from them ? This would be the perfect time to pit them against MWEB, considering they're pretty much dead in the water for me right now.

PM a member called Mr Beep - he will hook you up with a trial account...

I emailed them late last night. Got a trial account for the 1Mbps Standard Uncapped in the early AM. Very impressive. I got my full line speed all the time. Switched back to MWEB and I was crawling at a snail's pace. Everything came right on MWEB after lunch time today. If there is one more Seacom outage, I will definitely not hesitate to cancel MWEB and move to OpenWeb.

just keep in mind MWEB has 1 calender months termination period

And im on OW as well 2mbps silver uncapped. since 26th ive done 49GB 30th i did 16GB lol... so yes Openweb is great! and speeds still over 200KBps :)

Yeah, I know. Handy little workaround to "upgrade" to the R29 option for that month though, so it's all good :)

I haven't really had any problems with MWEB, if I'm honest, apart from the last 2 Seacom outages. Normally their service works well for me, but if it happens again, I'm definitely gone. 3 Strikes rule. I'm not really a heavy downloader. I average more or less 60-70GB a month max. OpenWeb was really great for the short time I used it.

Well I;ve got nothing to complain about when it comes to Axxess. They've been great so far on capped and I've noticed no difference at all since moving to uncapped. Their support (apart from once), been top-notch.

I know that they're owned by Afrihost and obviously run on the same network, but I don't have any complaints..yet.

This is why I was harsh on them last month wrt their stupid competition, but Gian's responses gave me confidence. Their recent downtime didn't impact me, so let's hope it is the last of that nonsense...

Hi Dj....

Wait until they start shaping you, then all hell breaks loose
