Warning to people who gamble online in South Africa

The Internet Service Providers' Association (ISPA) has warned South Africans against using online casinos and sports betting platforms that aren't licensed in the country.

The organisation says the platforms set the odds heavily against players, and banks in South Africa are legally obligated to confiscate any winnings.
 
Ah, that's nothing. I've won the FIFA lottery. Again. And some other one I never participated in. Now I just need them to send me my winnings.

Why is the ISPA wading into a regulatory and legak area that is outside of their remit?
Are they bored?
 
Looks like banning something didn't really achieve much... Almost as if you need something else to actually effectively ban something, begins with a P
 
Trying to use gambling to justify invasive and draconian laws, same way they used child pornography to weaponize the internet against users.
