Israel Attacks Freedom Flotilla

Apparently the raid took place in international waters?

Irrelevant !

Read Section 67 :

http://www.icrc.org/web/eng/siteeng0.nsf/html/57JMSU

Seems that Israel acted correctly in terms of International Maritime Law.

I'm not saying that I agree with what they did, just that it is not that clearcut that they acted illegally.

If their blockade is legal in terms of International Maritime Law, then all their actions are legal - and some of the actions of the Flotilla are illegal.

Hmmm

wonder if the blockade is legal however - considering all the UN resolutions Israel has been flouting for years.

It is also arguable that the link you provide is not applicable at all since it is

"San Remo Manual on International Law Applicable to Armed Conflicts at Sea"

Israel is hardly involved with an armed conflict at sea with Gaza.
