Issue with Altbinz downloaded files are changed to text files

Hi guys,

Please assist with the issue I am experiencing..I have been using Altbinz for quite some time and have had no issues until a few days ago...when ever I download an episode or even a movie, the partitioned files are changed to text files as opposed to rar files....any ideas on how to fix this will be greatly appreciated!

I have re-installed altbinz but still get the same issue..

It's probably just your file associations that are messed up. Look in your control panel for an applet called 'Default Programs' and check your associations.

I have no clue how to use news servers. I have a 1mb mweb uncapped. Can anyone help me set mines up.

Ok I use Grabit, You can download from here: http://www.shemes.com/

When you are done install the program

When it is done, open it and I attached a pic of the mweb news server setting I use

thanks Guys, I installed Grabit not the best app but it works..

@Gary I have tried SABnzb but it does not connect to the news server, I am using IS's news server, any ideas why..the settings are correct I have double checked..

Hmm, I dunno. Never tried it with the IS news server.
