It’s not about #DataMustFall, but when data will fall

Correct me if I am wrong here, but isnt the majority of traffic routed through Telkoms network locally? Would that not make them one of the obstacles to lower prices then?

10% by 2030?

If you're on adsl yes.

#DataMustFall is a decolonisation hashtag that means using smoke signals.

How did a decolonisation hashtag get confused with #dataPricesMustFall?

As mobile networks evolve from LTE and 4G technology to 5G in the next 4–5 years, Armstrong said speeds will increase tenfold, network capacity will increase a hundredfold, and latency will decrease tenfold.

In terms of the price of data, Armstrong said the cost-per-bit will decrease to a fifth of what it is today.

None of that will happen whilst Cwele is Siyabongaing the required spectrum.

So HSDPA only achieved 3G speeds, LTE only achieved HSPA speeds, LTE-A only achieved LTE speeds, and now they are punting 5G. Can anybody say what's wrong with this picture?

It should be # Data must rollover till it has been used up and must not expire!

The other thing that should be changed is the whole daytime and night surfer/night owl thing and

make it anytime(day or night) data (I am on a 10gig+10gig 3G contact with Telkom Mobile),

let us not fool ourselves that so called "free data" you get to use after midnight

you are paying for in reality and if you don't use it up it expires.
