It: Welcome to Derry

As someone who preferred the original IT with Tim Curry over the remake, is this worth watching?

It's a prequel to the movies and the book, so on that front alone worth a watch I reckon as it's not just the same content presented differently.

Meh. Didn’t age that well and the remakes definitely fits the cosmic horror tone more so that Stephen King had in many of his novels. Or lovecraftian horror except his own universe. The concept is the same. Fear of the unknown.

Ugh man, I'll never look at pickles in the same light as I used to :sneaky:

Quite a lot going on in that title sequence with heavy references to the book, one being the Bradley Gang which interestingly enough is probably linked to the car being hoisted from that hole at the end of the episode.

Which begs the question, is the US military trying to weaponize 'IT'? Ok that puts a totally new spin on the story, my optimism is starting wane a tad bit, so lets see how this plays out.

What is the issue with the pickles? I am missing the significance completely.

HBO makes some amazing shows. Watched the first 2 episodes of this. Brilliant.

Give you this Stranger Things vibes but far more gruesome.

The only movie that haunted me as a kid...EVENT HORIZON.

Poltergeist, The Shining and Exorcist wasnt that scary.

Critters were funny.
