It: Welcome to Derry

Only logical next thing to do here is fallout vegas with the horrors of it welcome to derry...

This is turning out to be one of the better shows of 2025.

But sad thing I guess is when its done then what. Lol.

Well that’s kind of made it cool and a little bit different as you know right from the start pretty much how it’s (LOL) going to end and it’s more about the journey to get there.

Somehow even as a huge Stephen King fan I still haven’t read the book, actually quite surprised there hasn’t been a special on IT to promote the show.

I have some of his books but so far only read the mist and some of the shining.

There was one that had a special tie-in when the first movie was released back in 2017.

You're a huge SK fan but haven't read IT? That is actually very disappointing SauRoNZA tsk! tsk! tsk!

I kind of started in reverse with the Dark Tower first and made the mistake of reading them in more or less real time with the drama of him almost dying in between.

I also actually pay for my books but am also a super Jew at the same time so unless it goes on special it doesn’t happen.

I’m also a fan of many others and slowly making my way there.

Something interesting I've just thought about, they've never actually adapted Rose Madder into a movie  GBV must be too a sensitive topic in Hollywood as well

Wasn’t there a TV show? Or am I thinking of something else.

To be fair other than IT his transition to the big screen hasn’t been great.

Secret Window probably being the only other actually good movie I can think of.

If you bury your head in the sand, it won't exist.

The Shawshank Redemption? The Green Mile? These are now classics of cinema and they weren't even horror...

Misery wasn't too bad either, The Stand mini-series (1994 and 2020) not out of this world but was decent enough, Bag of Bones, The Outsider, 11.22.63. The Dome book, one of my fav SK novels but sadly the series was effing awful.

11.22.63 out already? I thought that was still up and coming.

Yes, the 8-part series came out in 2016, should still be on the high seas

So weird for some reason I thought this was a new show still coming.

Loved the book because it was quite a departure for King other than the time travel and I quite enjoy alternate history type stories.

Just watched it all in one go today. Glad I waited for all the episodes, the weekly thing would have annoyed me.

Best part was at the end. Halloran: "how much trouble can a hotel be?". Now we need The Shining series...
