ITC backbone needs stiffening

here we go again

You can only laugh, for if you take this circus too serious a mental institution is where you will land up. What the bet, this Infraco thingie will fly like a lead balloon, Neotel will tell the powers that be to take a hike and we are stuck with Telscum for oohh maybe the next 50 years or so. I am buying shares in a vaseline factory

@Jo-Jo

I'm afraid you have it right. The best solution would nbe if Ifraco was stillborn and Neotel took ownership of the backbone as was initially envisaged. This would give Neotel the confidance to plan more than a few years at a time

Forget about shares in a vaseline factory, Telscum will never do anything to you that's painless. Rather buy shares in a sand factory, cause that's what they're going to use as a lubricant when they give it to us from behind !

Oh, I really love African governments - incompetence is the only criteria you need to meet......

So much for the Gravy Train. Make way for the Gravel Train

"Yunus Carrim, chairman of Parliament’s committee on public enterprises, gave officials from Erwin’s department two weeks to prepare a more convincing case for the proposed multibillion-rand company, to be known as Broadband Infraco.

“There is no case I can see that is clear and precise for this proposal. You have to come up with better arguments,” "

Wtf? When last did this kant look at the Telkom ADSL prices? Damn fat cat pays bugger ol for his net connection I bet.

Parliament is a joke, and the government is running this country like ostriches with their heads in the sand :rolleyes:
