Itemised Billing mandatory on contract?

AFAIK CLI is not mandatory ever, I'll double check and clear that for you.

My other issue with my bill is that as I don't have itemized billing I do not see on my invoice how many megabytes I am being billed for. All I see is the Rand amounts for the MyChoice 75 service fee, the CLI fee, the PSD bundle, VAT and the total.

It would be great if the actual in-bundle and out-of-bundle megabytes used was shown. I'd rather not sign up for itemized billing to get that information, besides the cost, my monthly MTN bill is already around 10 full A4 pages.

CLI is not mandatory depending on the package. Your MB's you'll only see on the ITB. PM me your number and I'll have a look.

I sent Pitbull a PM and he has removed CLI from my datacard. Thanks Pitbull! :)
 
Re-visiting ITB and CLI

Hi,

First off, congratulations to MTN on the new data pricing! Secondly, thanks to MTN DD for sorting me out with my MTN Active issues.

I've convinced my parents to take out a MyChoice75 contract, with a free E220, load a 100MB bundle each month, and replace their dialup connection. However, all the stores I visit tell me that ITB and CLI are mandatory.

Am I right in saying that ITB and CLI are not mandatory on a normal contract? If so, how can I convince the sales people? Or can someone help to remove it afterwards?

What I'm trying to confirm is: If my parents take out a MyChoice75 or MyChoice75 TopUp contract (normal rates), and the sales person insists on adding CLI and ITB, will you be able to remove it?

Yes. Just make sure that it's not a promo package then it's fine. I'll remove it for u.
