Last night I suddenly woke up at 2:30am for some reason. I could not go back to sleep as I was sooooo cold so I had a quick bubble bath and went back to sleep very nicely :D

DO WANT

Chilly? Now this aint Jozie or Sutherland, but it went down to 5.5C this morning here in Pta (read Ookville).

WeatherSA must be the worst. I don't get how they can be spot on some days and completely mess things up the next.

On their site they're not predicting any rain for today.

When I walked in from the station to the office (Belleville) it was raining!

Yeah they're horrible (at times). There's a guy with a weather station around the corner from me, so I just log into his site and check up on the weather :D

It's bizarre, but I find the winters in Joburg to be worse than South-East England. I have 2 pairs of winter pj's I bought in SA. I can't wear them in UK and thats with the heating turned off. I think it must be the altitude and the moisture content in the air(lack thereof compared to England), but Joburg cold is horrid.

I agree fully. I always told people joburg was colder than London in winter and they all look at me like I'm crazy. Sure London has colder snaps every now and then but the constant cloud tends to keep things warm. Joburg is bitterly cold compared to there.

I shudder to think of the temps that Jozie will see this year. I measured -5 in Pta last year... based on that, and the colder winter expected, it's going to be very cold this time round.

Ned Stark quotations come to mind :-D

My folks live south of london. My mom can't understand when I tell her she's put the central heating on too hot...(when I visit in winter)

My neighbors all thought I was insane because I ALWAYS had windows open.
