I prefer lots of little spiders compared to the devious rain spider buggers we have here. Last one sat right next to the keyhole on the security gate. I only noticed it at the very last moment before I put in the key and nearly had a a heart attack..

Those guys scare the crap out of me.

While I was always skittish around spiders, I didn't become arachnophobic until one night when I was about 13 y/o.

I was sleeping, facing the wall (my bed was against the wall), and woke up. I reached behind me to turn on the bedside light but kept my eyes closed so that when the light came on it didn't hurt my eyes. Rolled back to facing the wall, and then opened my eyes and one of those massive fking rain spiders was about 10cm from my face.

Damn near shat myself.

Anything with more than 4 legs can get stuffed!

I think it's the blanket octopus. It also rips the stingers off of jellyfish and man-o-wars, for it's own protection (it sticks them to its own body).
