iTunes 7.6+ and iPods...

Has anyone realised that with the new versions of iTunes you cannot connect any other iPod(i.e your friends) to your own iTunes Library to sync.

It only allows 1 iPod to sync with 1 Library... Does anyone know a way to by pass that?

And one more thing, any one know of an app (Like CopyPod) that will work on OS X?

:confused: I'm syncing a second iPod right now.
 
What versions are you running? I'm on 7.6.0.29.

Does a window not pop up requesting you to 'Erase & Sync' once another device is connected??

Still can't sync my music with my friend's iPods without erasing their music off their iPod completely..

I guess it must be a new licensing thing with music...

Or is this just me going mad seeing this problem?!?
 
Cannot sync iPod with multiple iTunes libraries...

Guys, i'm back onto this topic cos it's annoying me!

I cannot sync multiple iPods/iPhones with one iTunes Library. I have read about this problem everywhere but still cannot seem to come out.

One of the methods was that I use different user accounts in OS X.

It's simple, all I want to do is sync my one iTunes library with my iPod and my brothers iPod, why is this such a mission?!

As far as I know this is just the case with new generation iPods.

Anyone know a way around this?

nope - I'm still not having that problem. I've got no idea why you might be having this problem.
 
I have no problem syncing to Ipods.
My ipods are recognised as different devices and I have set different playlist for them to sync to. This happens without any problems whatsoever. If your Ipods are recognised as different names, then check the settings for your Ipods. Set it to sync manually(I have forgotten the exact setting name)

I have the same problem if I use Winamp to add songs to any Ipod. When Itunes see that device it removed all the Winamp added songs from the Ipod,because it was set to automaticaLy sync with a playlist. All songs not in the playlist then got removed.

AND THE ONE iPOD IS A NEW NANO.

I am using iPod Touch and iPhone.

@ ernstn: My issue isn't with using multiple iPods with 1 Library, it is using multiple iPods with multiple Libraries (excuse the ambiguity).

i.e: I sync a play list on my laptop using my own Library. He takes his iPod back and tried to sync with his laptop/Library and it won't let him unless he erases everything I put on it and start fresh with his own Library.

So essentially you're trying to use an ipod to copy music from one laptop to another?

He's going to have to have his machine set to manually manage his ipod for it to stand a chance of working.

Alternatively set his ipod to disk mode - copy the mp3s to it then move them onto his laptop, import them into itunes and then sync.
 
Yeah I think that's the best bet.

Only problem is that the iPod Touch doesn't offer Disk Mode.

Anyway, i'll find my way around it.
