Oh sorry guys I just installed it and played a song and noticed that it couldnt play any of my music.. it just made everything crackle?
Im not shure what was goign on there but it actually couldnt play anything. So I just uninstalled it, I see now if I had clicked album art view then it looks alot more like WMP11, actually theyve pretyt much stolen the concept..
Unless they thought of it first, who knows.
Except its still not as good as WMP, it insits that you keep the artist name in a list for every song when the artist name is sitting right under the album art which obviously covers a whole CD.
I also looked at the cover flow feature which looks amazing really, but is useless for me. There is no way I can flow through all my albums like that, I have 30 gigs of music with the album art for every CD.
And if you use that as your library, then you have to go back to the old way of listing every single artist and album name etc..
okay now all the little things. my WMP doesnt ever phone home because it cant access the internet from my PC, a firewall. but if you turn off all of the internet options, then it doesnt really phone home much.. at all. Unless it needs codecs (if you want them, and Itunes does that too right?) or licenses, which you do need.
Nothing much else that Ive noticed phones home. What exactly are you refering too, I know there are some thigns, but what are they?
And have you ever used Foobar, it does actualy sound a bit niocer than most players, plus it has ASIO or kernal streaming features, which are even more usefull if you realyl listen to music from good speakers.
