Well, after three glorious years with iBurst, I've decided to call it quits. Their service is crap & the disconnects/no signal has finally broken the camel's back.

Can anyone give me some advice on who to phone/email? I'm on a month-to-month contract with iBurst.

My suggestion will be to send an e-mail to [email protected], [a read receipt message might guarantee you who read the mail.]

Request a cancellation form and once you have faxed it through to request an acknowledgemetn that it will defintley be cancelled.

I've sent you an email addy , from lady in cancellations.

Email the lady and request her to provide you with a cancellation form,

Make certain to follow up receipt and request a confirmation in writing that they will action the cancellation.

Been fighting since February , cause these lousy runts keep on deducting the payment. This month have instructed my bank to send back the debit order if they submit it again. They are all a bunch useless idiots.

Do it in writing and make them acknowledge it in writing. Judging from hellopeter.co.za, you can expect to have the debit order go off over the next few months regardless of your cancellation, a very high percentage of complaints there are about that. I advise checking the banking ombudsman's site for the rules around canceling debit orders (yes, you can do it) and check with your bank for the procedures around it. I'm sitting with a useless 2nd hand modem because they didn't cancel the previous owner despite his request.

Thank you, iDOL, much appreciated - will send my email now.

I did sent them an email last week - they have not responded yet.

Ok, i've sent an email to them, after their iMAP server dropped the connection three or four times - just makes the decision so much easier.

I cancelled my iBurst this month, the service has gone to the dogs and the whole p2p thing was the last straw

i ordered my telkom line on the 2nd of may and it was installed today :D

now i am going to order my self install ADSL and it should be up and running by the end of the month

I have never felt more relieved once i cancelled the contract

Still haven't received a response from iBurst. Another reason why I'm quitting iBurst.

arent those guys in sales?

/me thinks sending it to someone in sales it will slow the progress

Still hard to believe iBurst was voted 'Broadband provider of 2006' - and now they're going down the drain.

I still felt there was service delivery when Ed Hall was there, but when he left, so did the service delivery.

I'll keep it as a last option, still haven't received any response from iBurst. Mind you, they still haven't responded to the email i sent last week, so I might be a bit too optimistic. :)
